Nancy Vallejo
Nancy is a lawyer and has worked for the last 20 years as an independent consultant, advising international organisations, governments and NGOs worldwide. She spends her time between Switzerland, Italy and Colombia.
Nancy is a cross-sectoral expert on the development, testing and implementation of governance and management systems, institutional development, certification schemes and accountability mechanisms. She has an in depth knowledge and practical understanding of international normative frameworks and conformity assessment and quality assurance processes and procedures.
She holds high directive positions with the government and NGOs of her country of origin, Colombia, and internationally. She was involved in the development of verification mechanisms in multiple sectors with special interest on ensuring their delivery to the different stakeholders, including women, local communities and indigenous people in developing countries. She was Deputy Director of one of the most renowned certification system in the sustainable development sector, and she is now also an HQAI senior auditor.

Objectiveness, Improvement and Accountability.
Involved in ethical auditing schemes across many sectors, HQAI’s mission appealed to me and becoming an auditor for HQAI is an opportunity to bring this experience to the aid sector.
