Mayumi Fuchi

Mayumi is a NGO practitioner and applied researcher with experiences in humanitarian response and development sector across Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.  Her work has taken her to lead emergency response of major natural disasters, manage compliance of global operations for institutional donors, and spearhead the organisational efforts to enhance effectiveness and accountability. A Certified ISO-Auditor and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Investigator, she is passionate about the potential impacts our sectoral efforts can generate to improve accountability to communities and people affected by crisis.

She currently sits in Foreign, Commonwealth, Development Office Independent Reference Committee on PSEA to provide advice from the perspective of international humanitarian standards, such as the Core Humanitarian Standard. A frequent panelist on the above topics, she has represented NGOs at UK and global platforms such as World Economic Forum, UNHCR, UNOCHA, and BOND.
