Lina M. Figueredo

Lina is an independent consultant and social anthropologist with over five years of dedicated experience in quality and accountability. Her extensive background within civil society and grassroots organisations, spanning over a decade, equips her with a rich understanding of the intersections between social justice, sustainability, and community-led initiatives.

As an HQAI auditor, Lina draws on her previous experience as a Quality Assurance Officer at HQAI’s Secretariat, where she managed a diverse portfolio of NGOs and successfully coordinated numerous audits.

Beyond her auditing and consultancy work, Lina is passionate about storytelling and community building. She actively engages as a guest speaker, workshop coordinator and facilitator with diverse civil society initiatives in Switzerland and Colombia on topics related to decoloniality and social change.

Lina holds a Licentiate Degree in Anthropology from the National University of Colombia. She is certified in Quality Management Systems (ISO9001:2015) auditing, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Risk Management, and SEAH Investigation. Her commitment to professional development and social impact guides her work in creating a more just and sustainable world.

Inclusion, objectivity, listening.

I became an HQAI auditor after five years working at HQAI's Secretariat. During those years, I realised how bridging the gap between assessing adherence to standards and the realities auditors encounter in the field—often buried beneath layers of paperwork—requires both methodological rigour and a flexible, context-sensitive understanding.

HQAI has always referred to audited organisations as “partners”. By putting people at the heart of the assessment process, HQAI allows auditors to partner with organisations and navigate the challenges of demonstrating conformity in a way that prioritises their diversity and unique needs. This is the kind of adventure I want to embark on: I believe there is no 'one way' of doing things right, the CHS is a space where organisations can walk their own path to better quality and accountability.
