Auditor training

Interested in becoming an HQAI auditor?

HQAI is currently recruiting independent consultants to join its pool of auditors as the organisation expands its portfolio of partners and diversifies its Quality Assurance services. Since 2016, HQAI has provided third-party quality assurance grounded in feedback from vulnerable communities, verifying that organisations adhere to the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS). We operate with a pool of independent consultants who are registered as HQAI Auditors as well as a number of in-house HQAI Auditors.

  • Language proficiency: High proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory. Fluency in French, Spanish, or Arabic is considered a significant advantage.
  • Technical skills: Candidates must demonstrate the ability to apply audit techniques, organise work within agreed schedules, and employ a risk-based approach to sampling and evidence collection.
  • Behavioural attributes: Successful applicants must be ethical, open-minded, diplomatic, and impartial.

  • HQAI online training: A series of self-paced e-learning modules and facilitated live exercises taking place in April and May 2026.
  • Practical training: Act as a trainee auditor in at least one CHS audit under the supervision of a senior HQAI auditor.
