PMRS
Palestinian Medical Relief Society was established in 1979 to address critical gaps in healthcare provision across the West Bank and Gaza. Initially founded by volunteer physicians, it has since developed into one of the region’s most extensive community-based health networks, delivering primary care through clinics, mobile teams, and emergency response services.
The organisation also provides maternal and child healthcare, mental health and psychosocial support, as well as health education programmes aimed at strengthening community resilience. Alongside service delivery, it advocates for fair and consistent access to quality healthcare for all Palestinians as an essential human right.
