About 13 million volunteers in 192 countries form the core of the Red Cross. In Denmark, we are almost 35,000 volunteers.
The Red Cross has been building on the same idea for more than 150 years. We help people in need without regard to nationality, ethnicity or religion.
We are a neutral organisation that is independent of party politics. But we have attitudes and speak for the vulnerable.
Almost 200,000 Danes support our work. Some make a monthly contribution. Others support us with an amount when disaster strikes. We ensure that your money is used wisely where it is most beneficial.

Danish Red Cross is certified against the CHS for its humanitarian (since 2018) and development (since 2025) mandates.
