Samanta Morais

Samanta joined HQAI in 2021. She currently serves as Research and Development Project Manager, following progressive roles within the Quality Assurance team.

In her current role, Samanta leads the development and adaptation of HQAI’s services (audits, audit readiness, trainings, due-diligence mapping, consultancies, assessments, …) to specific organisational and sectoral needs, oversees impact research initiatives, and engages with key stakeholders to strengthen quality and accountability in the humanitarian and development sector.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Lausanne and a Master’s degree in Standardisation, Social Regulation, and Sustainable Development from the University of Geneva (in partnership with ISO). Her Master’s thesis examined the contribution of HQAI certification to humanitarian accountability.

Samanta is strongly committed to fostering positive social and sustainable impact,  and motivated by the potential of recognised standards and quality assurance to empower organisations, enhance accountability, and support meaningful change.
